C4C Cowgirl4Calvary
I am so excited to share with you the wonderful journey I have experienced through the years as a cowgirl, a professional in the counseling & therapy field, but most importantly, a woman that so loves the life I have been blessed with. If I had a motto to describe the incredible obstacles I faced through my journey, it would be as simple as this: FIERCE GRACE. I truly believe the only way to enjoy our journey is to ask ourselves: "am I the woman I really want to be-am I the woman God created me to be-what can I do to change things & what am I allowing or not allowing God to do so that my destiny is reached?.." Sometimes things happen in our life that bring about major changes that can alter our journey. These changes can be very challenging to the point of devastation or empower us to become ever more determined to re-focus on our destination. This is why I am a firm believer in FIERCE GRACE. I know without any undue certainty that God has so graced me numerous times. And by His love and mercy, I can say not only am I a survivor but I am pressing forward to enriching my life more & more each day. In cowgirl terminology this would mean cowgirl-up & go after it as each day is the ride of your life. |
Allow me to indulge a little to say I have a passionate purpose that I so much want to share with you, just as I have the young ladies & women God so amazingly crossed my pathway with theirs in-order to share a very important message. And that message is that you are never too young, nor too old; never too unworthy; nor limited in what your heart so desires. God loves you, unconditionally and He has a purpose for all of us. From a cowgirl's view just as we need our equine partners to yield, He too needs us to submit our will to Him. Most certainly we can leave our stubborness, our guilt, our shame, our poor self image, our negative attitudes, and even our deepest/darkest secrets with Him. God created us, and believe me, you are not a mistake. He created us individually to be unique and for a greater purpose. You may not understand right-away what that purpose is but I can assure you once you start searching your heart, you will find what not only what inspires you, but the things God has gifted or blessed you with. We all have something good to offer. Here are a few scriptures that have so helped me along the way: Isaiah 61-(all); Psalm 91-(all); Jeremiah 29:11; Jeremiah 33:3-9; and 2 Timothy 1:6-9. |
I certainly try to enjoy learning, caring and sharing with every opportunity that arises. I believe it is far more rewarding and enriching to give than receive. I encourage you that no matter what's out there for you--go for it! AND no matter how many times you get knocked down or set-back, don't quit!! Nevertheless and perhaps most importantly, enjoy your journey. I believe there is still good in this world, it all depends on how you look at it. There are some key things though-find that good purpose & focus on it. Take good care of yourself & your land & livestock, or whatever God has give to you or blessed you with. God is so amazing, He alone rocked my world to feel empowered to keep pressing on despite the difficulties & challenges. There have been so many things that have inspired me to create Cowgirl4Calvary, but by far it has been what Calvary means & represents. C4C is the brand that stands for my own counseling/therapy services as an LSW and AACC counselor. And, C4C represents our foundation bred performance quarter horses that we so enjoy on the beautiful Wyoming ranch we live on. |
